The protest on May 1, 2025 was part of the “May Day 2025 / May Day Strong” rallies.
It was organized by unions, immigrant rights groups, educators, and grassroots coalitions (including in coordination with the 50501 movement), and aimed to defend workers’ rights, immigrants’ protections, public services, and push back against policies seen as attacks on labor and vulnerable communities.
